So, the polls are finally in. After the death of my computer I finally posted them. As I was delayed, this first round will end on January 10, 2010 and the final round will begin on January 11 and end on the 21. The YT/MS Artist of the Year Award will be given after I post my 15 nominations.

I just wanted to let you know that my computer has died and it is being fixed right now. Hopefully I get it on Wednesday. (sad face) I'm writing from my Ipod which is insane so I'll keep things short. The polls for The Soul Awards will be posted when I get my machine and I'm also planing some YT/MS Artists, so come back on Wednesday to VOTE!!

I couldn't find any videos for this season (again), well actually I couldn't embed any. So I had paste the videos under each contestant. You can watch them by clicking on the small video tape. My favourite 3 are: Camélia-Jordana, she has such an unique voice!, it remembers me of Megan Joy's one, you know, with a quite exotic sound; Dalé, he sounds like the french Seal, very good voice; and Lary, despite his funny aspect, I like him a lot, his cover of James Morrison's "You give me Somthing" was great.

Black Box Video Premiere

"Black Box" is the debut single recorded by season seven winner of Australian Idol, Stan Walker. It is from his debut album, "Introducing... Stan Walker." The song was released digitally on November 22, 2009 where it broke records as the fastest selling Sony Music download ever. A music video was filmed on November 24, 2009. Walker made comment stating “There might be a little bit of group dancing… we’ll see what happens. At first I was really nervous but I’ve warmed up now and I’m getting into it. I’m working on my look” [...] “It’s pretty cool – it’s my first ever film clip. It’s basically a house party that explains the lyrics. It talks about a relationship that has gone down but everything is still recorded in the black box. I really like it."

"Broken Heels" is the second single of Alexandra Burke's debut album, Overcome. Written by Nadir Khyatt, Bilal Hajji, Savan Kotecha and produced by RedOne, the single is to be released in the United Kingdom on 11 January, 2010. The music video was filmed in Los Angeles on 22 and 23 November 2009, as confirmed by Burke's official twitter page. It was choreographed by Frank Gatson and JaQuel Knight, who have also worked with Beyoncé. The music video consists of Burke and several female dancers, who are dressed in "gold leotards with huge football-style shoulder pads and heels." It premiered on UK music video channel The Box on 11 December 2009.

I couldn't find a single biography of the contestants, so I didn't post any. My top 3: Birgit, Anne, Kene. AMAZING singers and performers. Anne is the best singer, Kene the best performer and Birgit is a combination of both. My favourite of the three is definitely Kene, she is so unique and I found her voice very rare, being eliminated so early didn't give her the chance to show her amazing potential.

The 23-year-old singer was rushed to the hospital in an apparent suicide attempt on December 5. Billy Joel, her father, assured the public that his daughter Alexa Ray Joel "is going to be fine," speaking to a Newsday reporter. Alexa Ray, the only child of Joel and his ex-wife Christie Brinkley, was admitted to St. Vincent's Medical Center in New York after swallowing unidentified pills and complaining of difficulty breathing. She has since been released from the hospital and is staying with her father at an undisclosed location, her publicist told the AP on Monday.A family friend attributed Alexa Ray's troubles to a "rough breakup with a boyfriend" (James "Jimmy Riot" Elliot).
Weezer lead singer injured

Weezer frontman, Rivers Cuomo, has suffered minor injuries after the group's tour bus hit some ice, skidded across the New York State Thruway and slid into a ditch. Police say singer Rivers Cuomo and the band's assistant were taken to a local hospital following Sunday's early morning accident in upstate New York, about 40 miles west of Albany. The assistant also suffered minor injuries. State police say the group was driving to Boston when the vehicle struck ice and the driver lost control. The remainder of the band's December tour has been canceled. A statement on the band's Web site said dates will be rescheduled if possible.

Soul Awards Rule Changes

The rules for the Soul Award of Idol of the Year have changed. Below the post there will be a poll with the name of the contestants selected in the entry and you'll be able to vote for them. The three with more votes will advance to the first round of votations on December 23. You can vote for one week since the entry was posted. So check the American Idol post because now there will be a poll below it. The contestants will be in the same order as in the post. You can't vote more than once for the same contestant in these stage, but you'll be able to vote for 3 different contestants.

As January is approaching, this new section will help you get to know the Idol/X Factor participants of 2009 to vote for them in the Soul Awards. The series participating on the awards are:

American Idol, Australian Idol, Idolos Brazil, Eesti otsib superstaari (Estonian Idol), Nouvelle Star (French Idol), Deutschland sucht den Superstar (German Idol), Geostari (Georgian Idol),Idol stjörnuleit (Icelandic Idol), Idols (South Africa), Idol (Sweden), Czecho Slovak Superstar (Czech-Slovak Idol), Latin American Idol and Music Idol (Bulgarian Idol).
X Factor Series
UK, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands and Norway.
In the next weeks I'll try uploading videos of the best contestants so you can later vote for them in the first round of votation. If you think I missed someone just let me know in the comments page. In each edition there will be a different series starting with American Idol and then following the list in the order above. My top 3 contestants names will be in capital leters and in gold, while the other contestants names will be in red. This doesn't mean I don't like them or that I don't consider them good, I just prefer my top 3 more.
